Katie Payne
President

As the President, Katie leads Club Blue in the implementation of its strategic plan and ensures the organization is reaching its goals and carrying out its mission.

She is a senior manager in the Deloitte audit practice with nine years of experience serving a variety of public and private clients focused within the manufacturing and healthcare industries. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Katie has been in Nashville for almost 15 years watching the city boom. She lives in East Nashville with her husband and daughter and enjoys walks down to Shelby Bottoms and exploring the neighborhood.

Adam Harthcock
Vice President of Sponsorship

As the Vice President of Sponsorship, Adam oversees Club Blue’s budget and fundraising initiatives.

He is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Utilize Health, a neurological care management company focused on creating a better healthcare experience for patients and cost savings for payers. In this position, Adam is responsible for operations, business administration, strategic planning, product management, and business development partnerships.

Prior to Utilize Health, Adam worked for Onlife Health, a BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee subsidiary providing population wellness services to large employers and health plans. In Sales, Adam was responsible for new business prospecting, product positioning, CRM administration and sales reporting where he produced consistent pipeline growth. Adam regularly collaborated on marketing projects, RFPs, and multi-million dollar sales presentations.

Adam is also a member of the Nashville Health Care Council and Leadership Health Care, where he has serves as Vice Chair of the Networking and Mentoring Committee, an Advisor at the Nashville Entrepreneurship Center (EC), and a mentor at Vanderbilt’s Wond’ry Innovation Center.

Adam received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University. Adam lives in the Nashville, TN area with his wife Jessica Harthcock, and their dog Ozzie. Adam enjoys boating, hiking and experiencing the Nashville music scene.

The values of Academics, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character that Boys & Girls Club brings to local youth resonate deeply with Adam. He joined Club Blue to rally the support of Nashville’s young professionals towards the involvement in the amazing things Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee does.

David Firth
Vice President of Stewardship

As the Vice President of Stewardship, David focuses on creating an inclusive, service-oriented culture that embodies the vision, mission, and values of the organization.

David graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Economics and Risk Management & Insurance. He is an Associate Broker at Worldwide Facilities LLC where he assists local and national Insurance Agencies procure Professional Liability Insurance for their clients. He moved to Nashville in February of 2017 and enjoys attending concerts, UGA football, and spending time outdoors.

David joined Club Blue for the opportunity to team up with young professionals of Nashville wanting to make a positive impact in their community.

Henry Terrell
Vice President of Membership

As the Vice President of Membership, Henry focuses on organizational growth and recruitment and is a critical resource to potential and new members.

Henry is an Athens, Georgia native who graduated from The University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Out of college, he began his career as an internal wholesaler at Jackson National in Franklin, Tennessee. As an internal wholesaler, he worked directly with financial advisors in the Carolinas to develop custom retirement/ tax solutions. Throughout his work at Jackson, Henry recognized the opportunity and need for a goal intensive and personal financial advisory service for high-value clients. After completing the CFP® Certification Program in 2018 at Belmont University, Henry opened his own practice. His goal is to help his clients accomplish his or her goals as comfortably as possible.

Henry lives in the Sylvan Park neighborhood , and in his spare time, he can be found running around McCabe Park, traveling, watching University of Georgia sports, and enjoying the incredible Nashville restaurant scene.

Henry joined Club Blue because he wanted to be involved with a group of individuals who are passionate about making a difference in youth lives in this community, improving themselves professionally, and building lasting relationships.

Mary Avent
Events Chair

As Events Chair, Mary works to identify, plan, and host social experiences and fundraisers for members & potential members.

Joslyn Hebda
Social Responsibility Chair

As the Social Responsibility Chair, Joslyn organizes and manages the philanthropic and community initiatives of Club Blue.

She is the Nashville Director at cityCURRENT, a city-building catalyst that host free community events, produces positive media, and guides corporate philanthropy in Tennessee, so organizing volunteer and giveback opportunities for Club Blue is a particular delight. She moved to Nashville in 2018 from Memphis, where she earned her BA in International Studies at Rhodes College and her MBA in Finance at Christian Brothers University. She’s always looking for new friends to try new fitness classes/jumbo margaritas with.

Joslyn joined Club Blue because she’s seen firsthand how a safe space can save a kid’s life.

Carla Suarez
Professional Growth Chair

As the Professional Growth Chair, Carla identifies and plans professional development events for Club Blue members that focus on their interests and needs.

She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Finance and a minor in Legal Studies. She is in a rotational program at Cat Financial and in her current role, she is assisting Cat customer inquiries from all of the US and Canada. She moved to Nashville in July 2018 and her hobbies include: her dog Maddux, attending musical events, and all the artsy things the city has to offer.

Carla joined Club Blue because of her involvement with the Athens B&G Club.

Rachel Deloach
Communications Chair

As the Communications Chair, Rachel creates and manages the the marketing and communications plan for Club Blue.

She moved to Nashville in July 2018 after graduating from Troy University with a Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism & Public Relations. During college Rachel became involved with the planning and execution of events for the Boys & Girls Club of Pike and Surrounding Counties. She believes volunteering with the Boys & Girls Clubs provided various professional growth opportunities throughout her collegiate years and shaped who she is today.

Rachel joined Club Blue because she wants to be part of a philanthropic community that supports the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee.
