Katie Payne, President
As the President, Katie leads Club Blue in the implementation of its strategic plan and ensures the organization is reaching its goals and carrying out its mission.
She is a senior manager in the Deloitte audit practice with ten years of experience serving a variety of public and private clients focused within the manufacturing and healthcare industries. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Katie has been in Nashville for almost 16 years watching the city boom. She lives in East Nashville with her husband and two daughters and enjoys walks down to Shelby Bottoms and exploring the neighborhood.
Adam Harthcock, Vice President of Sponsorship
As the Vice President of Sponsorship, Adam oversees Club Blue’s budget and fundraising initiatives.
He is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Utilize Health, a neurological care management company focused on creating a better healthcare experience for patients and cost savings for payers. In this position, Adam is responsible for operations, business administration, strategic planning, product management, and business development partnerships.
Prior to Utilize Health, Adam worked for Onlife Health, a BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee subsidiary providing population wellness services to large employers and health plans. In Sales, Adam was responsible for new business prospecting, product positioning and sales reporting where he produced consistent pipeline growth. Adam regularly collaborated on marketing projects, RFPs, and multi-million dollar sales presentations.
Adam is also a board member for Leadership Health Care and involved with the Nashville Health Care Council as a corporate representative. He is also an Advisor at the Nashville Entrepreneurship Center (EC), and a mentor at Vanderbilt’s Wond’ry Innovation Center. Adam was recognized as a 40 under 40 honoree by the Nashville Business Journal Adam received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University. Adam lives in the Nashville, TN area with his wife Jessica Harthcock and their son Jameson. Adam enjoys boating, hiking and experiencing the Nashville music scene.
The Boys & Girls Club is a great organization to make an impact with local youth. Through volunteerism and philanthropy, Club Blue allows young professionals to connect and align their youthful ambition in support of the next generation. Those drawn to Club Blue quickly feel at home due to the shared values of their fellow members, and everyone enthusiastically channels this energy into making a difference for Club kids.
David Firth, Vice President of Stewardship
As the Senior Associate Broker of Stewardship, David focuses on creating an inclusive, service-oriented culture that embodies the vision, mission, and values of the organization.
David graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Economics and Risk Management & Insurance. He is an Associate Broker at Worldwide Facilities LLC where he assists local and national Insurance Agencies procure Professional Liability Insurance for their clients. He moved to Nashville in February of 2017 and enjoys attending concerts, UGA football, and spending time outdoors.
David joined Club Blue for the opportunity to team up with young professionals of Nashville wanting to make a positive impact in their community.
Henry Terrell, Vice President of Membership
As the Vice President of Membership, Henry focuses on organizational growth and recruitment and is a critical resource to potential and new members. Henry is an Athens, Georgia native who graduated from The University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Henry recognized the opportunity and need for a goal intensive and personal financial advisory service for families and small businesses.
After completing the CFP® Certification Program in 2018 at Belmont University, Henry opened his own practice. His goal is to help his clients accomplish his or her goals as comfortably as possible.
Henry lives in the Whitebridge neighborhood, and in his spare time, he can be found running around McCabe Park, traveling, watching the University of Georgia sports, and enjoying the incredible Nashville restaurant scene.
Henry joined Club Blue because he wanted to be involved with a group of individuals who are passionate about making a difference in youth lives in this community, improving themselves professionally, and building lasting relationships.
Mary Avent, Events Chair
Mary Avent has more than 8 years of Healthcare experience. She is a Project Manager with Parallon Project Services and supports multiple projects for the Clinical Services Group. Prior to joining the Parallon Project Services team, she served in various capacities within HCA Healthcare.
Mary holds a master of science in Health and bachelor of arts in Organizational Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. She is a professional wedding planner/event planner and co-owner of C.E.A. Events. In her free time she really enjoys volunteering her time. She has been involved with Luke 14:12, Junior Achievement, Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee Wine Down Main Street, Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee Great Futures Gala, and Muscular Dystrophy Association of Nashville.

Mary joined Club Blue for professional development and networking opportunities with young professionals is the greater Middle Tennessee area.
Josh Stalets, Communications Chair
Josh Stalets is a college dropout turned entrepreneur. Currently, he is the CEO of Be Better Advertising, an advertising agency specializing in online direct response ads. His company has a monthly volunteer day which is how Josh discovered BGCMT and Club Blue. He joined the Club Blue board in January as Communications Chair to give more help to a cause he cares about deeply.
In his free time, he spends it with his 2 children (8-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son), watches/plays basketball, reads, travels, and attempts to learn Spanish. He also has a blog about entrepreneurship and loves to help other entrepreneurs with business ideas or growing their business.
Carla Suarez, Professional Growth Chair
As the Professional Growth Chair, Carla identifies and plans professional development events for Club Blue members that focus on their interests and needs.
She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Finance and a minor in Legal Studies. She is in a rotational program at Cat Financial and in her current role, she is assisting Cat customer inquiries from all of the US and Canada. She moved to Nashville in July 2018 and her hobbies include: her dog Maddux, attending musical events, and all the artsy things the city has to offer.
Carla joined Club Blue because of her involvement with the Athens B&G Club.
Bridie Sellers, Social Responsibility Chair
As a senior manager with Amazon’s Last Mile Delivery business, she is responsible for Fleet Program Management and keeping delivery vehicles on the road. She moved to Nashville in the middle on 2017 after spending most of her life in the Midwest in Finance roles with companies such as Wells Fargo, DuPont Pioneer, and Bridgestone Americas. She lives in Hendersonville with her two sons, and in her free time loves cooking, watching bad reality TV, and running.
Bridie joined Club Blue because she want to give back and make a difference in her community.
