Every $1 invested in Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee returns $12.47 in current and future earnings and cost-savings to our community. The greatest benefits are from Club members’ improved grades and reduced alcohol use and their parents’ earnings.

Ways to Volunteer
Academics: Monday-Thursday our youth are provided with tutoring and homework help at each Club. You can provide members with one-on-one assistance with their assignments during this time. Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is also focused on improving the literacy skills of the youth we serve. Reading to small groups, helping students practice fluency through readers’ theater, and writing with students are just a few ways you can increase our kids’ skills while motivating and encouraging them to get even better!
Athletics: Many of our youth participate in the organized sports leagues offered through their Clubs. We are often seeking coaches, referees, and concession stand workers for our flag football, cheerleading, basketball, and RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities) leagues. In addition to these leagues, our kids have opportunities to play outside every single day. So whether you are ready to serve as a coach or just want to shoot some hoops, we have a way for you to “actively” be a role model for kids! (Pun intended.)
Mentoring: Each day our kids are given the opportunity to unwind by participating in activities like completing projects in the art room and playing ping pong in the game room. They also participate in programs like Passport to Manhood and SMART Girls. When you spend time with our kids during these activities, you play a major role in building their confidence, modeling positive behavior, and providing them with a meaningful connection to the people in their community.
Special Events: Throughout the year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee hosts four major fundraising events, including Wine Down Main Street and the Great Futures Gala. In addition to these major events, there are frequently Club events, such as parties and festivals, which require volunteers. You can sign up for these opportunities to help ensure their success!
Special Skills: Do you have special skills that you want to put to work for kids? Let us know what you would like to do, and you will be connected with a Club that will welcome you! Teach a dance class; repair a refrigerator; lead kids through yoga and meditation; work on a computer. Whatever your strengths, you can make a difference in our Clubs!
Groups, Organizations, and Corporations: Looking for a way to make an impact in the Middle Tennessee community with your friends and colleagues? We can coordinate an opportunity for your group. Whether it’s serving as the volunteer force for one of our events, painting, gardening, landscaping, organizing (and the list goes on), we can help align your needs with ours. Please complete this form so we can learn more about your expectations. Paige Atchley, Director of Community Engagement, coordinates this effort and can be reached at (615) 983-6833 or email@example.com.
