Epic Backpacks for an Epic School Year

You Can Ensure All Young People Have What They Need to Succeed This School Year.

After another wonderful  year, local youth are heading back to school and this year is going to be EPIC!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee wants to make sure every young person, especially those who need us most, have the tools to succeed. You can make that a reality! We need community supporters to donate fully assembled backpacks containing the following supplies:

  • #2 Pencils (1 pack of 24)
  • Pencil Sharpener (1)
  • Pencil Pouch (1)
  • Cap Erasers (1 pack)
  • Markers (1 pack of 10 classic colors)
  • Pens (1 pack of 12)
  • Colored Pencils (1 pack of 12)
  • Crayons (1 pack of 24)
  • Ruler (1)
  • Glue Sticks (4)
  • Highlighters (4 of yellow)
  • Scissors (1)
  • Paper (1 pack of wide ruled)
  • 3-Ring Binder (1)
  • Composition Book (1)
  • Spiral Notebooks (2 of wide ruled)
  • 3-Prong Folders (3)
  • Earphones (1)
  • USB Drive (1)

Completed backpacks can be dropped off at either our Andrew Jackson, Cleveland Park, Eagle View, Fairview, or Franklin Clubhouses. Contact Ashley Matamoros, amatamoros@bgcmt.org, with any questions or to schedule a large drop off.

 

Backpack Distribution

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is partnering with Creative Girls Rock and Metro Nashville Police Department for an epic Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. We will distribute 3,000+ backpacks filled with supplies across 9 locations in Middle Tennessee. Any family, not just Club members, are invited to take a backpack.

6 Backpack Distribution Locations:

  1. Andrew Jackson Boys & Girls Club
  2. Cleveland Park Boys & Girls Club
  3. Eagle View Boys & Girls Club
  4. Fairview Boys & Girls Club
  5. Franklin Boys & Girls Club
  6. McKissack Middle School

Volunteers Needed:

Volunteers are needed to distribute backpacks at our Clubhouse locations! This is a great opportunity for families and corporate groups to give back to their community. To sign up as a volunteer, email Ashley Matamoros, amatamoros@bgcmt.org.
