Club Calendar: Check out the summer calendar! On it, you will find our field trips, special events, and reminders. Calendars will be posted at the front desk and will be provided to parents at orientation.
Group Designation: What “group” is my child going to be in this summer? This information is handy when picking up your children as well as being informed on when your child has an upcoming fieldtrip. The Affirmation Group breakdown is listed:
- Dreamers: Ages 5-6
- Believers: Ages 7-8
- Achievers: Ages 9-10
- Contenders: Ages 11-12
- Leaders: Ages 13-18
Note: If your child has a birthday in the summer, they will remain in the group that they started with at the beginning of the summer.
Field Trips: During the summer we will plan some field trips to provide your child with enriching opportunities and fun experiences. Field trips will be optional and if you choose for your child not to attend they will still have an enjoyable experience at the Club. Please read in detail Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee field trip requirements as these requirements enable us to maintain compliance with the Department of Education and allows us to be more efficient with documentation.
Parents must turn in all permission slips a week in advance. One child’s name per slip is required. Permission slips for each field trip will be available at the front desk. Parents will be required to pay for the field trip at the time of receiving the permission slip. NOTE: Staff cannot accept any permission slips without payment. Boys & Girls Club buses have a capacity number, which means that field trips will have a limit on how many members are able to attend. Field trips will be first-come, first serve basis. Field Trips are non-refundable. CASH will be the only form of payment for field trips. Checks are not accepted. Money should be paid to the front desk staff.
Field Trip T-shirts: To participate in field trips members must wear their current summer t-shirt that will be issued at the start of camp. These shirts allow us to identify members easily and keep them safe. T-shirts are included with enrollment fees. If lost an additional t-shirt can be purchased for $10.00. (We recommend that parents write names on members t-shirts to minimize the risk of them being lost).
Field Trip Money Holders: Staff cannot be held accountable for holding your child’s money for field trips. Please have them to wear bottoms with pockets.
Parent Meetings: Mark Your Calendars to join us for our mandatory parent meeting. See your Club Directors for future dates. In this meeting, we will cover our Parent Handbook, Summer Camp calendar, and address any issues parents may have.
If you have any further questions. Please see your Club Director.
Thank you so much for allowing your child to spend the summer with us. We look forward to impacting their lives in a positive way as they gain the skills necessary to learn, grow and succeed!
