For our final 2019 #ThankfulBGCMT spotlight, Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT) would like to highlight our partner, J.P. Morgan.
Throughout the year, JPMorgan Chase has consistently been engaged with BGCMT. They sponsored the Great Futures Gala, as well as the Ingram Cup Golf Challenge. In May, two of their Private Bank leaders, Brian Bialek and Connor Duggan, presented ‘Financial Literacy for Young Professionals’ to Club Blue, the young professionals’ organization that supports BGCMT. During this session, they provided an overview of the national financial landscape and practical information for young professionals trying to navigate investments and retirement. Club Blue has continuously received feedback that this was one of the most successful professional development sessions it has offered and is reflective of just one way J.P. Morgan helps the community build knowledge that leads them to financial security.
Most recently, JPMorgan Chase contributed holiday gifts to Eagle View Elementary School’s Holiday Wish List Program. To participate in the Holiday Wish List Program, Club members write down three holiday wishes – typically items that include board games, electronic toys, clothing, and sports equipment. J.P. Morgan received and granted these wishes to ensure all youth had the opportunity to share a happy holiday with their loved ones. During Eagle View’s holiday celebration, members received their gifts to take home and open with their families.
When asked why the firm decided to partner with BGCMT, Brian Bialek, Executive Director with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Nashville, explained that JPMorgan Chase has contributed more than $160k to 32 Boys and Girls Clubs chapters across the country this year.
“The firm’s mission of supporting organizations who aim to provide economic opportunity for everyone aligns with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee’s long term goal of breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty around our community by providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed,” said Bialek.
Thank you JPMorgan Chase for your investment in the Middle Tennessee community! Your commitment has not gone unnoticed, and we appreciate all you do. We look forward to partnering with you in your effort to help all youth reach their Great Futures!
